How this website and mobile application handle complaint data, supporting documents, technical records, cookies, sharing, retention, and deletion requests.

Information We Collect

The Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) may collect information that users voluntarily submit through the website or mobile application for complaint filing, complaint tracking, feedback, official correspondence, gallery administration, or authorised staff administration.

Complaint and service forms may collect personal information such as name, email address, mobile number, address, district, state, pincode, gender, date of birth where provided, relationship to the victim, complaint category, complaint title, description, incident date, respondent details, relief requested, court or commission reference details, and supporting documents or images uploaded by the user.

Quick complaint uploads may collect a mobile number, complaint description, and supporting files or photographs. Camera capture in the mobile experience is used only when the user chooses to capture a document or image for upload.

How We Use Information

Information submitted through complaint, tracking, feedback, and administration features is used for official MSCW functions, including complaint intake, acknowledgement, verification, case processing, follow-up, status tracking, communication with the complainant, security review, fraud or misuse prevention, and compliance with applicable law.

Uploaded photographs, documents, PDFs, Word files, and other supporting materials are used only for the purpose for which they are submitted, including review of complaint facts and supporting evidence.

Contact information may be used to communicate with the complainant or authorised representative regarding submitted complaints, feedback, data deletion requests, official proceedings, or service support.

Disclosure and Sharing

MSCW does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed only where necessary for official complaint processing, legal compliance, government record keeping, authorised law-enforcement or court processes, security, fraud prevention, or service delivery.

Information may be processed by technology service providers that support hosting, database storage, file storage, authentication, email or communication delivery, security, maintenance, analytics, or backup operations. Such processing is limited to operating and securing the MSCW digital services.

Complaint information may be shared with competent government departments, police, legal authorities, internal committees, or other authorised bodies when required for official case processing or statutory functions.

Technical Data, Cookies and Sessions

The website and mobile application may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of access, error logs, security logs, and service usage records.

Cookies and session tokens may be used for essential functions such as administrator sign-in, complaint tracking access, service security, and maintaining application state. Users may disable cookies in their browser settings, but some features may not work correctly.

Notification features may request permission where supported by the device or browser. Notifications are used for official service or administrative alerts and can be controlled through the user's device or browser settings.

Security and Retention

MSCW applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect submitted information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Complaint and administrative records may be retained as required for official case processing, statutory functions, government record-retention requirements, audit, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, fraud prevention, and archival purposes.

Where information is no longer required and deletion is permitted by applicable law and official record-retention rules, MSCW may delete, anonymise, or restrict access to such information.

Data Withdrawal and Deletion Requests

Users may request withdrawal of consent, deletion of personal data, or deletion of information submitted through the MSCW website or mobile application, subject to applicable laws, government record-retention requirements, security requirements, and official case-processing requirements.

MSCW may request additional information to verify that a deletion or withdrawal request is being made by the concerned user or an authorised representative.
